Helping Where It Really Counts: Twin Cities Community Voice Mail
High Point Creative believes that the strength of our communities is
directly proportional to the level of active support we are willing to
provide. Individually, each member of our team is personally committed to
a number of volunteer activities throughout the community. As a corporate
citizen, High Point Creative also lends its support to several important
non-profit organizations. A particularly exciting accomplishment has been
our involvement with Twin Cities Community
Voice Mail (TCCVM).
From its beginnings in 1994, TCCVM has linked low-income persons to
opportunities for self-sufficiency. Individuals seeking housing,
self-sustaining work, medical care and safety from domestic abuse need
ways to communicate with the broader society to achieve their goals. TCCVM
provides those links through free voice mail services.
High Point Creative’s support of this organization goes back to TCCVM’s
very beginnings. After she saw a television report about a similar program
in Seattle, Kate Huebsch contacted the Seattle group and began working to
bring the service to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Over the years, High
Point has contributed to the organization’s growing success by providing
marketing communications support including public relations campaigns,
brochures and annual reports. Creative Director Maiya Willits recently
served on the Board of Directors.
Today, the service has helped more than 30,000 individuals and their families
move toward self-sufficiency. TCCVM is now the largest of 32 similar
programs around the country. We are proud to be a part of this important
organization as it provides dependable, confidential voice mail
communication for phoneless people seeking self-sufficiency.
In 2002, High Point Creative redesigned the TCCVM Web site, along with our
alliance partner Zimmer/Madich.
Our partner, Voyageur IT, began hosting the TCCVM Web site
in early 2003.
