Kate Huebsch
Kate Huebsch
President

Kate Huebsch (pronounced “hipsh”) is president and founder of High Point Creative, LLC. Kate’s experience ranges from marketing business-to-business and consumer products and services, to developing the memorable material clients need to win and keep valued accounts.

For each communication need, Kate first relies on her marketing experience to develop the strategic platform. Then she applies her considerable creativity to maximize the marketing message. Kate’s work has been formally recognized for excellence on several occasions. More important to Kate, however, is the positive client feedback she receives as projects generate the desired results.

One of Kate’s favorite business authors is Harry Beckwith. Writing in his book, Selling the Invisible, Beckwith cautions that, “Before you try to satisfy the client, understand and satisfy the person.” Kate incorporates that philosophy in her client relationships. “My goal is to make my client’s life easier by delivering a careful combination of project management and creative development that ensures a smooth process and a successful result.”

In addition to her involvement with High Point Creative, Kate serves as planned giving chairperson for the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society. She was instrumental in developing the Twin Cities Community Voice Mail program, and she also donates her professional skills to the White Bear Lake Area Public Schools.

Maiya Willits
Creative Director

As a seasoned copywriter and High Point’s creative director for the past 10 years, Maiya has helped develop the agency’s reputation for excellence in serving health care and medical technology clients, as well as financial services, education, social services, manufacturing and high-tech companies.

“I enjoy putting a proven creative development process to work for many different kinds of organizations,” says Maiya. She loves to learn new things and bring new perspectives to clients as she delivers sizzling content and spot-on strategic thinking.

Clients appreciate the matter-of-fact way she handles each new project, tackling the tough details and keeping things on track while developing targeted communications that deliver results.

Whether she is working independently on a project or overseeing the agency’s creative process with other team members, Maiya’s philosophy is simple: “My job is to make sure that clients get creative solutions that tell their compelling story with accuracy and distinction.”

Keeping up with a fast-paced industry means staying active with professional organizations such as the Association for Women In Communications, the Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association, Medical Alley/MN Bio and the Direct Marketing Association.

In addition to her work with High Point Creative, Maiya is on the board of St. Paul’s Highland Park Elementary PTA, zealously supports local arts and cultural organizations, and keeps busy raising two young boys and a house full of reptiles. This year she’s also trying to find time to write a book about a solo trip down the Mississippi River.
